Translation from the French of a book by Count Cesare Mattei, popularizing homeopathic practices based on Hahnemman's doctrine, as well as the Count's views that certain plants possessed electrical energy that could have healing properties. The book also takes the form of a polemic against academia, which denies the value of homeopathic remedies and their therapeutic effect. The Count presents indications for treating cancer and syphilitic diseases with electro-homeopathic methods and remedies. The publication includes a portrait of the Count and a view of his castle "La Rochetta", where he practiced his methods.
