Publisher's cloth binding with gilt lettering on spine. Original wrapper preserved.
Condition: tears, minor losses of the wrapper. Wrapper glued in one place. Delicate browning of the cloth on the margins of the binding. Peel paper with characteristic yellowing. Other than that, a nice, clean piece.
Bronislaw Malinowski (1884-1942) - an outstanding Polish anthropologist and sociologist. His works on ethnography and anthropology had a significant impact on the development of these scientific fields. He spent most of his life in the US and UK.
"Argonauts of the Western Pacific" - One of the most important works of B. Malinowski. Published in 1922, it had a huge impact on the development of anthropological science. The book tells the story of the Trobriand people, who live in the small island chain of Kiriwana northeast of New Guinea.
