Strong rubbing of covers, inside block cracked, some pages loose, browning, very clear efflorescence on the last few pages and on the pastedowns. Piece complete, needs strong conservation and bookbinding. The author's name is given as "Malczeski". Poem dedicated in print by the author to Julian Ursyn Niemcewicz. Text according to the first edition of 1825, printed in decorative line frame with ornaments in the corners. The plates according to a drawing by Antoni Zaleski were engraved by S. Lukomski, M. Jaroczynski and "A. L. Szretter polonus". The engravings were printed in etching. Before the text a woodcut title engraving, in the text four small woodcuts by the same author. J. Wiercińska writes extensively about this edition in the article "Four Marie" included in her book "Art and Book" (War. 1986).
