Edmund Małachowicz (born March 3, 1925 in Vilnius, died 2015) is a Polish architect and monument restorer, winner of the Honorary Award of SARP in 2001. In 1952 Małachowicz graduated from the Wrocław University of Technology. He was a full professor and chairman of the Wroclaw branch of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Małachowicz, an expert on medieval Polish architecture, conducted reconstruction work and created many theoretical reconstructions of buildings. He is the author of several book publications describing the monuments of Wroclaw, in addition to theoretical works in the field of historic preservation and also on Vilnius. In the years 1965-1972 he was a conservator of monuments of the city of Wroclaw.
