Piotr Borowy (born May 28, 1858 in Rabczyca, died January 18, 1932 in Lipnica Wielka) was a Polish peasant and independence activist, a member of the Polish delegation to the 1919 Paris Peace Conference and to U.S. President Woodrow Wilson on the annexation of Orawa and Spisz to Poland. He was self-taught, was particularly interested in religious books, and was an excellent speaker. He led an ascetic lifestyle. He spread the Catholic faith, Polish culture and patriotism in Orava. Borovsky, a man of great social authority, was called "Orava's Gazda," "Exemplary Follower of Christ," "Catholic Patriot," "Apostle of Orava" and an advocate of "provera, piykna and goodness."
