Piotr Borowy (born May 28, 1858 in Rabczyca, died January 18, 1932 in Lipnica Wielka) - Polish folk and independence activist, member of the Polish delegation to the 1919 Paris Peace Conference and to U.S. President Woodrow Wilson on the annexation of Orava and Spisz to Poland. He was self-taught, was particularly interested in religious books, and was an excellent speaker. He led an ascetic lifestyle. He spread the Catholic faith, Polish culture and patriotism in Orava. Borovsky, a man of great social authority, was called "Orava's Gazda," "Exemplary Follower of Christ," "Catholic Patriot," "Apostle of Orava" and an advocate of "provera, piykna and goodness."
