Grade: drukarski

A bilingual (Polish-German) specialized catalog dedicated to the joint minting of the Three Brothers - the Dukes of Legnica-Brzesko-Volossia - George III., Louis IV. and Christian from 1651-1662. The catalog compiles more than 1000 types and varieties of coins. The Catalog includes provenance, degrees of rarity - both for vintages and for individual coins according to an individually developed rarity scale, as well as photos of the described coins. Work on the Catalog took more than 10 years. The author conducted a very extensive search in more than 130 institutions around the world - Museums, Universities, Libraries that have numismatic collections. In almost 70 numismatic cabinets around the world there are collections that contain coins of the common minting of the Three Brothers, which are indicated in this publication.
The author has made every effort to reach as many collections as possible, both those in private hands and those in numismatic cabinets. In the course of almost 12 years of work, he gained access to only... 3,000 coins, of which more than 1,150 are in the collections of numismatic cabinets around the world. On this basis, he has developed previously unknown degrees of rarity, which completely change the previous knowledge in this field. The Catalog also contains a lot of trivia, questions and doubts that are sure to be of interest to lovers of Silesian minting and the line of the Silesian Piasts from the second half of the 17th century. A4 format, hardcover, chalk paper - matte, 780 pages, weight about 5 kg, low circulation: 200 copies (numbered catalogs), retail price 1200 PLN. WDA company is the only distributor of the author's pieces of the catalog, and the only possibility to buy catalogs is through bidding on WDA auctions on Onebid. On the surface, the price may seem high, but given a few facts, it may be that once the catalog is out of print, it will be unobtainable, and its value can only increase. Anyone who purchases the catalog will probably find that, the substantive content is worth much more. In addition, it is worth knowing that the catalog was published in a very low edition of only - 200 pieces, the exclusive effort of the author, without financial support of any institutions, without placing commercial advertising. THERE WILL BE NO REISSUE. The catalog includes photos of coins from almost 70 Numismatic Cabinets located in Museums, Universities, Banks and other institutions with Numismatic Cabinets around the world. The author conducted searches in some 130 Numismatic Cabinets in an effort to exhaust comprehensively the topic related to the minting of the Three Brothers. 12 years of work. Analysis of auctions in Poland and abroad over the last 100 years. Only a little more than 3,000 coins in circulation at the moment, of which 1/3 are in the collections of Numismatic Cabinets min. in Poland, Germany, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Great Britain, Russia, the USA, Hungary, Slovakia... The cost of publication rights to the images from the above mentioned Numismatic Cabinets is very high, and the author received the rights to this one issue only. From the information from the author of the catalog, it also appears that he will not sell his work at a price lower than what is currently at auction. The catalog, presumably, will be purchased by individuals/institutions who need it to collect/verify their existing collections, to assess the degree of rarity, to have in their numismatic library, as well as to conduct further scientific work related to this very beautiful and rare mintage, and this means that there may not be a secondary market related to this catalog. Analyzing the current price, it is worth noting another important fact - as in the case of vol.III and vol.IV of the Lucow catalog, whose mintage was only 250 pieces, the initial cost was a few hundred zlotys - today, on the secondary market, beautiful pieces cost around 4-5 thousand zlotys.

Note
!!! Due to the very high weight of the shipment ABOVE 5 kg, the shipping of the catalog is not combined with the shipment of coins, and the shipping cost is 35 PLN in Poland, for foreign shipments is in accordance with the price list of the Polish Post http://cennik.poczta-polska.pl/usluga,zagraniczny_paczka_pocztowa.html increased by 23% vat. (e.g. 1 piece Europe 108 PLN, USA 110 PLN, Czech Republic and Slovakia 53 PLN).
