Handwritten dedication on front cover by Janina Bem, daughter of Antoni Gustaw Bem, Stefan Żeromski's teacher. An anthology of poetry depicting the beauty of native nature, beginning with the first isolated descriptions of nature created by E. Drużbacka (ca. 1693-1765). Described, among other things, the beauties of the four seasons, the mountains (Swietokrzyskie, Tatra, Pieniny), forests, the Baltic Sea. Jan Lorentowicz (1868-1940), theatrical and literary critic, publicist, leading organizer of theatrical and literary life of Warsaw. Luxury publisher's binding, signed on the back face: "Puget. Jerzyna i Ska. Warsaw", made by Jan Franciszek Puget. On the front face embossed. and gilt titulature, embossed view of Wawel Cathedral in the center of the mirror. On the spine embossed. and gilded titulature. Cover paper hand-marbled. Piece uncut. Minor rubbing of the binding, some yellowing of the paper, otherwise very good condition. A nice piece.
