The author focused primarily on the life of the nobility and magnates, describing castles, palaces, courts, clothing, daily life, and customs prevalent during this period. Among the fold-out engravings are the entry of Michał Radziwiłł to Vienna in 1679 and the entry of Jerzy Ossolinski to Rome in 1633.
