Third edition, illustrated revised and supplemented. A richly illustrated history of Poland covering the 16th-18th centuries. The author focused primarily on the life of the nobility and magnates, describing castles, palaces, courts, clothing, daily life, and customs prevalent during this period. Among the fold-out engravings are the entry of Michał Radziwiłł to Vienna in 1679 and the entry of Jerzy Ossolinski to Rome in 1633.
Issued by H.Altenberg in Lvov, 1912. Dimension 25x20cm; pages 254. publisher's cloth binding with decorations (soiling) with preserved brochure cover. Handwritten dedication on pre-title page, small tear in front of title page; some soiling inside. Block heavily loosened but nevertheless a nice piece.
