Binding of gilt leather of the period(after a small introl.restoration - scuffs, scratches); lack of front pastedown, trace of damp-staining on the lower margin of the first pages, foxing-discoloration of the paper, restoration of the margin of one page. Two engravings missing: Armory in Podhorce and Great Crown Seal of John III. The engravings (on plates and in the text) mainly depict members of the royal family, coats of arms, seals, tombstones, places associated with John III and his family. At the end, from p. 117, an "Appendix" containing additions arriving at the time of printing and one plate. All engravings in woodcut engravings engraved by the best Warsaw craftsmen (J. Styfi, A. Regulski, J. Schübeler, B. Puc, A. Zajkowski).
