Antoni Zygmunt Helcel (Hölzel von Sternstein) - November Uprising insurgent, Polish historian of state and law, publisher, conservative politician, member of the Legislative Sejm in Kroměříž, to the Galician State Sejm and the Austrian Council of State.

Among other things, he participated in the Battle of Wawer, Grochow and the defense of Warsaw. [source: Wikipedia].

Hardcover, decorative, half leather with titling on the spine. Cover abrasions. Block consistent, local yellowing of pages. Marbled edges.
