The work was written by Nicolas-Léopold Michel - squire, controller of expenses and first secretary of King Stanislas Leszczynski. The work consists of two parts:

A collection of foundations and institutions made by the King of Poland, Duke of Lorraine and Bar, including the construction of a new square, in the middle of which a statue of Louis XV was erected, as well as the buildings that His Polish Majesty ordered to be erected in the city of Nancy for its beautification.

General report on the expenses of the buildings and edifices that the King of Poland, Duke of Lorraine and Bar, built to beautify the city of Nancy between 1751 and 1759 . Lunéville: Claude-François Messuy, 1761.
The main designer of the city's reconstruction was Emmanuel Héré, thanks to his work and funds from King Stanislas, the Royal Square called Stanislas Square was created whose task was to connect the old city with the new. In the central point of the square stood a monument to Louis XVI ( Leszczynski's son-in-law).
The work on display includes numerous copperplate engravings depicting the buildings erected around the square such as the Hotel de Ville - City Hall, Hôtel des Fermes, Garrison Building, Quartermaster's Office, Queen Catherine's Gate of Stanislas's wife Mary Leszczynski's mother, and a large fold-out map of the city of Nancy : [ 42 x 52 cm].
Most impressive, however, are the three huge fold-out plates [ copper engravings] showing the appearance of fountains and royal gates carved by royal locksmith Jean Lamour (1698-1771). The copperplates have successively the following dimensions : 44 x 65 [cm], 47 x 54 [cm], 43 x 47 [cm].
The whole preserved in very good condition, thick handmade paper with minor soiling of a few pages, hardcover, 19th century, cover scuffs, black leather spine. On the front cover exlibrises of the 19th century.

The presented old-print is a rare polonica, and most importantly has a set of plates and engravings [sig. Collin ] including several depicting the image of King Stanislaw Leszczynski and his shield of arms. The coat of arms of Wieniawa with the Lithuanian Pogo and the Eagle. In total, the book contains 22 copperplate engravings including 4 fold-out plates.
The Place Stanislas in Nancy, along with the neighboring Place de la Carrière and Place d'Alliance, was inscribed on UNESCO's World Heritage List for its innovative and unparalleled architectural solutions for the time.
