Hardcover half leather with glued front cover original on the face. Condition of binding, sufficient, rubbing/rubbing on spine, soiling, block is detaching from binding, missing page with list of tables. Condition of block and plates good.
A work collecting the ritualistic works of Joachim Lelewel (1776-1861) - historian, bibliographer, political activist. Includes chapters: Geographical Maps (11 hand-colored plates); Numismatics (16 plates with images of coins, including 3 with colored maps); Poland (12 plates with images of coins, coats of arms, monuments, royal tombstones, and four colored maps of Poland); "Typographical Cutouts" (3 plates with images of foreign coins). The third part published for the first time four plates with likenesses of old prints, which were not included in the first edition of "Bibliographic Books of Two" (1823-1826). Some of the plates hand-colored.
