Large format election leaflet, convincing people to vote for the Polish People's Party in the 1922 parliamentary elections. On the first page two illustrations signed Ant Rom (Antoni Romanowicz).

"How they pay taxes.

[Figure 1] The rich begrudge Poland a grosz and don't want to pay taxes. they throw out the door, despite his politeness and favor to the rich. The parish priest is outraged that the government dares to look into his pockets, the landowner mocks the ordinances of the authorities, and behind the backs of his pocket-mates - without exposing himself - hides the Jew-pasher, exporting his prey abroad. This is an old and supportive company, bound by a strong knot of common interest.

[Figure 2] The peasant-poor pays, in relation to his wealth, incomparably more taxes than the rich.Although the bourgeois say that he has trunks filled with marks - somehow he can not pay himself out of taxes. Often the last cowhide or quilt, stripped from the children half-naked, goes on the phantom for the tax official. What a different attitude the authorities have toward the peasant....

Look, brother peasant, at these two pictures and compare yourself with those who want you to cast your vote for them. Remember your injustice when you come to the ballot box. Vote only for the P.S.L. "Liberation" and the "People's Left." On Nov. 5 and a second time on Nov. 12, throw a piece of paper with the number 3 in the ballot box."
