Stanislaw Lam (1891-1965) - doctor of philosophy, Polish publisher, publicist, encyclopedist, critic and literary historian. In 1924-1939 he was editor-in-chief of the Trzaska, Evert and Michalski Publishing House, where he edited and published many books and encyclopedic publications important to Polish culture, such as the two-volume Old Polish Encyclopedia, the six-volume Illustrated Encyclopedia TEM and others.
