Binding: decorative half leather of the period. Spine divided into 6 fields: in one of the fields a gilded titlepage together with the author's name, in the others the geometric ornamentation is repeated. Spine of the 4th volume in a darker shade. Card trims decayed.
Condition: +good. Gentle rubbing of volumes. Ownership stamps. In vol. 1 soiling of the back of the binding and a small hole with loss of the cloth on the face. In vol. 2 soiling of the face and back of the binding (in the lower part). In vol. 3 very small loss of canvas on the face (0.5 cm dia.) and staining of the back cover with several small losses of canvas. In vol. 4 soiling and staining of the back cover. Understaining of the genealogical table in vol. 4. A clean piece.

Volumes 1-3 consist of the works of Jan Kochanowski, while volume 4 contains a comprehensive biography of Jan Kochanowski, crossed out by Roman Plenkiewicz.
