Sebastian Kneipp (born May 17, 1821 in Stephansried, died June 17, 1897 in Bad Wörishofen) - Bavarian Catholic priest and theologian, parish priest of Wörishofen, advocate and promoter of hydrotherapy, varied and complete diet and herbal medicine. In his publications and activities, he encouraged basic hygienic practices such as daily washing of the whole body, washing hair, washing makeup in the evening, using running water for washing, washing clothes and underwear regularly, walking, exercising or resting.
