Numerous author's photographs in the text and on the plates show reproductions of old graphics and plans, views of alleys, flower beds, turn-of-the-century residents strolling and relaxing on benches, views of the surrounding streets, individual buildings, cafes, often monuments and pavilions that no longer exist.
F. Klein (1882-1961) is an art historian specializing in the history of Krakow's architecture. His "Planty" is a detailed monograph of Krakow's plantations, describing the history of their creation, transformation and development. The author analyzes the positive and negative aspects of the urban solutions adopted, the aesthetics of small architecture, etc.
