Johannes Kepler (born December 27, 1571 in Weil der Stadt, died November 15, 1630 in Regensburg) - German mathematician, astronomer and astrologer, one of the leading figures of the scientific revolution in the 17th century.
Kepler is best known for the laws of planetary motion named after him, codified by later astronomers on the basis of his works "Astronomia nova", "Harmonices Mundi" and "Epitome astronomiae Copernicanae". These laws were used to confirm the validity of Isaac Newton's theory of gravitation. The present work was the first major work of the researcher.
