Jerzy Karolak - Polish graphic artist, poster designer and book illustrator. Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. From 1947 he was a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, where he headed the Poster Studio. In addition to his work as a poster artist, he was also involved in book illustration. He gained the greatest recognition for his illustrations for one edition of Marian Falski's primer, the graphic portfolio "Folk costumes and customs" (1956) and the notebooks of the "Atlas of Polish Folk Costumes" series.
