The calendar is a rewritten version of the publication "Lublin July. Carnival of Solidarity 1980-1981, which was prepared for the Grodzka Gate - NN Theater Center in Lublin, but was never published. It describes day by day the events of the landmark period of August 1980 and the sixteen months of the so-called "Solidarity Carnival" that ended with the imposition of martial law on December 13, 1981.
