Manuscript - fragments of sermons - Jean-Baptiste Massillon (born June 24, 1663 - died September 28, 1742 - was a French theologian and bishop, personal preacher to Louis XIV.


Transcribed in pen over a period of 3 years - 1844- 1847 in Paris, fragments of Massilion' sermons.

The presented voluminous 329-page work in French is a wonderful example of the high level of the beautiful, yet very difficult and time-consuming art of calligraphy.

Hardcover, cloth binding. Soiling of the cover. Block consistent, pages clean. Overall condition very good.
