Stamperia Pol. 1.29. Paper slightly yellowed, crease in margin of rear protective tissue paper. Own signature. William Ginzburg, handwritten dedication by the same to Mr. Machowicz, dated in Nice "on the day of departure". Attached is a much later postcard, of which the anonymous sender (Janek), giving the book as a gift, writes: "This is already a bibljophilic rarity". On the last page the imprint: "Two hundred pieces numbered from the bibliophilic page composition of the Florentine outhouse edition were printed," below the piece number (156) and the author's monogram signature. The volume includes poems written between 1939 and 1940, the vast majority of them in Paris. The book originally appeared as the second publication of Samuel Tyszkiewicz's Nice outhouse, published in 1941 in an edition of 125 + 25 copies. (Stamperia 1.28). In the same year, at the author's expense, another 200 copies were rebound from the same printing press, on inferior paper; the red initials were replaced here with black ones. The cover composition was left unchanged, with a red-printed eagle in flames, wearing a crown of thorns. This edition was probably printed outside Oficyna Tyszkiewicza. The "Stamperia Polacca" exhibition presented pieces from both editions side by side, with a comment in the catalog: "The latter were printed more, and are much rarer" (supplementary notebook, p. 22).
