Giedroyc regarded him as one of the few true literary talents in the émigré circle, and therefore supported Iwaniuk with honoraria and publications regardless of the financial state of "Kultura." He was a long-time friend and collaborator of the magazine, not only as a poet, but also as a literary critic. In 1959, his volume "Silences. 1949-59 Poems." Five years later he was awarded the "Culture" Literary Prize, which resulted in the publication of another selection of poems. His best volume is considered to be "Dark Time. Poezje" from 1968, also published in the "Kultura" Library. Iwaniuk's last published volume at the Literary Institute was "My Sides of the World. Poezje" from 1994. [source:kulturaparyska.com].
