Stamperia 1.1. Slight right edge crease, very good condition. First printing of the Tyszkiewicz Officina containing an excerpt from the Hymn of St. Francis in Old Italian. It is preceded by a Latin maxim from the Book of Numbers and an excerpt from the letter of St. James the Apostle in Polish. Single-sided two-color black and orangish print on ark. 33.3x24.3 cm, three more pages blank. The text was hand-printed with a roller (or bottle, according to some sources) before the Tyszkiewiczes purchased a printing press. Two versions of this publication are known: one-color and two-color. Here the border surrounding the text and three initials were printed in orange.
