From the introduction: "The album presents the history of hunting in the Potocki estates, including Łańcut, Antoniny, Szepetówka, Pilawin and Julin, which gained the fame of 'royally arranged hunts', admired in Poland and abroad for their excellent organization and lavishness. The Potocki family hosted hunts by the Zamoyski family, the Radziwill family, the Tyszkiewicz family, the Lubomirski family, President Ignacy Moscicki, Wojciech Kossak, Julian Fałat and numerous foreign guests, including Archduke Rudolf, Emperor Franz Joseph II and Prince George of Kent. Thanks to press reports from the era and the Potocki family correspondence, we learn about the hunting passion of Alfred Potocki (1786-1862) - a traveler, scholar and writer, Alfred Józef Potocki (1822-1889), who hosted Archduke Rudolf and Emperor Franz Joseph II on his hunting trips, Roman Potocki (1851-1915), Józef Mikołaj Potocki (1862-1922) - a precursor of 'white hunting' and participant in exotic hunts in India, Ceylon, Somalia and Sudan, and Alfred Antoni Potocki (1886-1959) - the last Ordinate of Lancut". Cont. among others: Organization of the forest-hunting farm during the 1st Ordinate, Reorganization and flourishing of Polish hunting in the 2nd half of the 19th century, Hunting passions of Count Roman, Julian library, Hunting seats and charms, Winter hunting in Szepetetka, Pilawin - Joseph's royal fantasy, Count's hunting in Africa and Asia, Christmas hunting, Lancut hunting trophies and hunting exhibitions.
