Exceptionally impressive published history of the family of Silesian state lords, the Schaffgotsch counts, related to the Piasts of Brzeg and Legnica - from medieval protoplasts, arriving from Lusatia and Meissen, to the 1880s. - owners of Cieplice (now part of Jelenia Góra), Sobieszów, Kopice, Chojnik Castle, Przesieka, Wilcza and Szklarska Poreba, the Gryf key (including Siedlęcin and Świeradów).
