A. Neumann ( 1873-1942) - "Polish painter, graphic artist [...] He was friends with many leading artists of the early 20th century: Leon Wyczółkowski, Rafał Malczewski (son of Jacek), Leon Chwistek. In 1942, Abraham Neumann found himself in the Krakow ghetto. On June 4, 1942, he was shot, along with a group of elderly people, by the Germans at the corner of Dąbrówki and Janowa Wola streets on his way to a transport that took Krakow Jews to the Belzec death camp."
