Moses Kisling - Painter of Jewish origin, one of the representatives of École de Paris. In 1907-1911 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow under Jozef Pankiewicz. Already at that time he began to achieve numerous successes, and his works brought him awards. Immediately after his studies, he went to Paris, where he settled in the famous Montmartre district. On his artistic path he met many prominent figures of the art scene of the time, such as Amedeo Modigliani, who painted Kisling's portrait in 1916. Kisling's paintings attracted widespread admiration, with particular interest in portraits and nudes with surrealist forms. He participated in numerous exhibitions of contemporary Polish art, including in Paris and Brussels.
