A geographical atlas of Poland with 100 original photographs and 6 maps showing, among other things, a precipitation map and a relief map. In addition, a fold-out sheet showing "Western Russia" on a scale of 1:100000. Descriptions of the various regions in German.
Numerous photographs depicting various regions of Poland at the time and its inhabitants, notable for their images of men and women in regional costumes and traditional buildings of the Polish countryside. Many of the photographs also capture the Jewish community, inextricably linked to Poland at the time.
Ernst Erich Wunderlich (1889 - 1945) - German geographer, During World War I, as part of his military service, he became deputy head of the Commission for Regional Studies in the General Government. By 1918, Wunderlich had published several times on Polish geographic conditions, from this period also comes the atlas Geographischer Bilderatlas von Polen. After returning to Germany, he taught at the Technical University of Stuttgart , and later in Hanover.
