Issue 1. The book was published in an edition of 500 numbered copies on handmade paper from the Rives manufactory, in an artist's binding attributed to Lucienovi Durvandov (1852-1924). Monograph by French historian and librarian Frantz Funck-Brentano (1862-1947), devoted to the Regency period in France, when Prince Philippe II d'Orléans ruled on behalf of the minor King Louis XV (later husband of Queen Marie Leszczynska), rich period iconography (portraits, historical and genre scenes).
