One of the main qualities of the royal palace in Wilanów, to which it owes its unflagging popularity today, are the historic interiors, which are now exceptionally rare and of extraordinary artistic class.
Despite the fact that for a very long time the Wilanów palace has aroused lively interest of art lovers and researchers, despite the fact that at different times a lot of remarks and considerations have been devoted to the rich artistic decoration and furnishing of the palace rooms, the sum of information contained in these publications has so far given neither a complete picture of them in different eras, nor an idea of the transformations they underwent in different periods of history.
This book is an attempt to fill the gap in the existing literature.
