Memoirs of Juliusz Falkowski concerning Polish emigration in Paris, Hungarian Uprising, participation of Poles in the Spring of Nations.
While in Paris, the author visited Adam Mickiewicz. He recalls his stay with the poet as follows: "Once, in a very small circle at his place, the conversation went on about the accidents of the time, that is, reaction taking the upper hand everywhere. The main speaker was a Frenchman who maintained that this reaction was not capable of dislocating the future of the peoples, and this future, according to him, was to be a general democratic republic - the United States of Europe."
Among other things, the book records the author's meetings with Mickiewicz and also other famous historical figures, e.g. Adam Czatoryski, Teodor Morawski, General Chrzanowski and others.
