Encyclopedia contains about 7000 entries, more than 2000 illustrations and more than 30 maps and plans. In addition, the Warsaw Calendar recalls the most important events in the history of the city from the 10th century to 1994. In the entries of the encyclopedia, the authors tried to take into account the state of knowledge in the early 1990s, as well as make the necessary updates. More than 100 entries are of an overview nature. They are concise outlines of the city's history, its architecture, iconography, literature or ballet, film, graphics, painting, sculpture, theater.
