Ralph Waldo Emerson (born May 25, 1803, died.April 27, 1882) - American poet and essayist, famous for his oratorical talent; one of the most influential thinkers and writers of the 19th century, a proponent ofdemocratic egalitarianism; considered an idealist philosopher who creatively continued the idealist visions of the relationship between man and the Absolute of Plato, St. Augustine and George Berkele. Augustine and George Berkeley. Author of the speech American Scientist called "Intellectual Declaration of Independence" (Intellectual Declaration of Independence). From 1836 he was associated with the Boston Transcendentalist Club. Representative of Romanticism in American poetry.
