Maurycy Ignacy Aleksander Dzieduszycki, alias M.J.A. Rychcicki (born February 10, 1813 in Rychcice, died April 22, 1877 in Lviv) - Polish historian, writer, deputy curator of the Ossoline National Institute in Lviv, member of the Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences.
He was the author of philosophical works, poetic and prose pieces. He was valued as an amateur historian, but faced accusations of writing from exclusively conservative and clerical positions.
In a comprehensive work, Zbigniew Olesnicki (1853-1854) presented a synthesis of the history of Poland in the 15th century. He demonstrated the Polish traditions of the land of Oswiecim, describing German claims to the territory as unfounded.
He was interested in the history of the Catholic Church in Sweden and the history of his own family. He compiled a "Map of Palestine" (1862), and began work on the second edition of Linde's Dictionary of the Polish Language. He considered the history of Poland from an ultramontane point of view.
