With illustrations by Jerzy Skarżyński

Jerzy Skarżyński (born December 16, 1924 in Cracow, died January 7, 2004 there) - Polish painter, theater and film set designer, author of book illustrations, educator.

He was a member of the Second Kraków Group, a formation of young artists centered around Tadeusz Kantor. Jerzy Skarżyński's paintings are held by the National Museum in Cracow, among others.

He took part in many group exhibitions and also had individual exhibitions of stage design (Cracow 1974, Szczecin 1975, Opole 1976, Zamosc 1979, Stockholm 1978).

He is the creator of a huge number of book illustrations, as well as press illustrations. He collaborated with the weekly Przekrój.

He designed movie, theater and cabaret posters, as well as occasional posters, such as those for the 1st Jazz Music Festival in Sopot in 1956. Based on a screenplay by Tadeusz Kwiatkowski, he created a 6-issue comic book Janosik.

Antoni Uniechowski coat of arms Ostoja (born February 23, 1903 in Vilnius, died May 23, 1976 in Warsaw) - Polish illustrator. In 1923-1930 he studied at the School of Fine Arts in Warsaw under Karol Tiche (painting) and Wojciech Jastrzębowski (designing solids and planes). He was involved in posters, film and theater set design, and above all book illustration; he created light and freehand ink drawings, lavished with watercolor, gouache or tempera; he illustrated, among other things, the Voltaire's Philosophical Poems (1948), Henryk Sienkiewicz's The Deluge (1949), Ignacy Krasicki's Monachomachia (1953), Stefan Żeromski's Ashes (1954), Bolesław Prus' Lalka (1962) and Emancypantki (1972), F.H Burnett's The Little Princess (1980). From 1945 to 1956 he collaborated with the weekly magazine Przekrój.
