National Printing House in Cracow

"The 40th anniversary of our establishment (1895-1935) is the reason that we are making this publication. Taking advantage of this occasion, we want to present in words and illustrations a picture of our development and works, as well as a chronicle of our transitions and memories (...) For illustrations we used rotogravure printing. To illustrate the text, nearly 300 photos were taken by our studio and foreign photographers, depicting our plant outside as a building and inside as a workshop."
Richly illustrated anniversary book of the National Printing House. Among other things, it contains descriptions of the history and development of the printing house, type and ornament designs, and a bibliography of the printing house.
An additional curiosity is the folded cardboard advertising leaflet of Farm, preserved in the book. Industrial Plants of Aleksander Wieniewicz, based in Warsaw at 88 Grzybowska St. The leaflet lists 12 preparations in a table, along with formulation, indications, dosage and price. The whole is illustrated with a photo of various types of syrups ointments and tablets in the company's offer. The owner of the Works, Aleksander Wieniewicz, as a second lieutenant in the art. reserve, was taken prisoner during the war and placed in the prisoner of war camp in Starobielsk and later murdered in Kharkiv.
