Description:
On the pre-title page dedication by the author.
S. Gralka in the biography of the writer approximated the circumstances of the creation of the book as follows:
"the authorities [of the Warsaw University of Technology] - seeing that there is no Polish-language biography and monograph of the work of one of the greatest architects of all time, the American Frank Lloyd Wright - decided, instead of translating any foreign one, to cause their own to be written and to select the author of the study through a competition. This was a competition for professionals (architects, urban planners, engineers, etc.; architecture students were also allowed to participate). Works were submitted and submitted anonymously [...]. When the envelope of the best work was opened, it was thought that it would contain the data of some professor or associate professor, meanwhile it was the data of a fourth-year student [...]. [The book] is still an academic textbook" (S. Gralka "Biography: Lysiak," Warsaw 2020, pp. 51-52).
