The book published in 2001 in an edition of 3,000 copies (most went to dedicated politicians and social activists, business), on the initiative of the Foundation of the Book of the Tenth Anniversary of Independence (Malgorzata Niezabitowska, Tomasz Tomaszewski, Marian Kuczynski, Alicja Kornasiewicz), being a collective work of almost 400 authors, in the introduction called "the intellectual elite of the late 20th century".
The appearance of the book is modeled on the "Book of the Tenth Anniversary of Poland Reborn 1918-1928", published in 1928. The book is bound in a hardcover with embossing, and a gilded spine. Dimensions are 39 x 31 cm. The weight is about 13 kg.
