The Polish-English publication includes: essays on Dadaism and its influence on art by Hubert van den Berg, Matthew Biro and Hal Foster, reprints of original texts by artists Theo van Deosburg and Claes Olenburg, and an interview with collector Egidio Marzona. The whole is complemented by more than 40 illustrated notes by Julia Connert, Paulina Kurc-Maj, Pawel Polit and Anna Szyjkowska, discussing the most important works in the exhibition.
Dada, according to Shwitters, is a divine play, which is not so much madness itself, but shows everything that actually remains it....
The exhibition in question shows Dada as the unbridled and unpredictable side of the avant-garde, which, while it manifested itself in the visual arts, also went far beyond them....
