An anthology of Polish poetry considered one of the most valuable underground publications. Contains anonymously published poems by Czeslaw Milosz, Jerzy Andrzejewski, Jerzy Zagorski, from the period just before the outbreak of World War II. The whole is divided into five parts (each preceded by a short introduction): Zwiastuny burzy (The Harbingers of the Storm); Ludzka skarga (Human Complaint); Spokojne spojrzenie (Calm Gaze); Pieśń wiary (Song of Faith); Droga do Polski (Road to Poland). The selection was made and the words of the introduction were written by Czeslaw Milosz (1911-2004). Minor tears and losses to edges of covers, otherwise good condition. Rare.
