The manuscript, titled by the author "Juillet 1816," contained 44 pages of text written in 18th century French and was a description of a trip to the spa in Cieplice (now a district of Jelenia Gora, there is a sanatorium there). It was a well-known place, in 1687 Marysieńka Sobieska visited it along with the entire court of about 1500 people.
The author referred to many literary and documentary genres in her work. She included elements of factography, fiction and her own biography. The thematic axis of her work is the itinerary of the journey, which is the element that connects all the presented episodes, characters, landscapes and geographical, natural, political or historical information about the presented world.
During her travels, the author came into contact with both peasants and the bourgeoisie and aristocracy of Silesia. The memoir contains characteristics of these groups, information about the people's ways of earning a living and their customs (e.g. a description of a folk game, a hen festival), as well as a description of the monuments seen (e.g. Jan Kochanowski's grave) and the richness of Silesian nature.
