"Cobblestone News" - a Polish satirical weekly published from 1816 to 1822 in Vilnius, from 1817 the organ of the Society of Scribes.
The primary task of the magazine was to promote the ideas and traditions of the Enlightenment period, especially social equality, while mocking the darkness and Sarmatian traditions of the Polish nobility.
The magazine was closed down by the Russian censors in 1822. In 1830 an attempt was made to continue the "Cobblestone News" under the new title "Bałamut", published in St. Petersburg, which survived until 1836.
