(Estr. T. 14, this title not noted). Good condition. An early work on Aristotle's theory of plants, written under the direction (supervisor) of Martin Chmielecki (1559-1632), a physician from Lublin and professor at the University of Basel. Aristotle's writings on plants have not survived, their classification was dealt with mainly by his pupil Theophrastus - it is he who is called the founding father of botany. In the late Middle Ages and later in the Renaissance, Aristotle's writings were the basis of school education, so all researchers of the time were familiar with Aristotelian logic, logical division and the concept of genus and species. Rare.
