Kazimierz Chlędowski (born February 23, 1843 in Lubatówka, died. March 20, 1920 in Vienna) - Polish writer, memoirist, cultural researcher, satirist, cultural historian, storyteller, popularizer of Italian culture, state activist, appointed to the Ministry for Galician Affairs in Vienna, served there as secretary, then as head of the office, and from 1899 as Minister of the Monarchy in the Cabinet of Clary and Wittek in Imperial and Royal Austria, owner of the town of Wietrzno near Krosno.
The collection of writings offered here was devoted to, among other things, the history, characters and curiosities of Galicia - a region particularly close to the author.
