Notes: Luxurious period binding possibly publisher's. Includes 34 black and white illustrations on separate boards (photographs of the expedition) and 2 appendix maps including one publisher's folding map.
- Charles Granville Bruce (7.04.1866 London - 12.07.1939 London) British aristocrat, brigadier-general and Himalayan mountaineer. Among other things, in 1922 and 1924 he organized and led two expeditions to Mount Everest
Condition:
Binding very slightly damaged, publisher's cardboard binding front and back preserved, foreign dedication dated 1925 in ink on the pre-title page, small stain from old flooding on the margin of a small part of the pages, quite numerous foxing on the pages of the text, illustrations without defects, no other entries (in the text only a few minor single word marks) and stamps. Item in quite nice condition
Grading of state of preservation:
- perfect condition: (6) no defects, no signs of use, like new
- very nice: almost perfect condition (+5), very slight defects, almost like new (unused)
- nice: very good condition (5), very slight, basically insignificant defects

- Sufficient: sufficient condition (3), poor condition, major defects in the card, basically destruct
