NOTICE. His Most Imperial Majesty [...] has most graciously disposed me to make public the following: "To My faithful Galicians". "We have had hard trials in the past weeks to endure. A conspiracy of enemies of order and existing social relations, which has been plotted and prepared abroad for a long time, has unfortunately broken into My Kingdom of Galicia as well [...]". Tarnów, 16 III 1846 [Subp.] Ferdinand Archduke Austryi-Este, Civil and Military General Governor of Galicia.
Single-sided print in German and Polish on ark. 39x49.7 cm. Reaction of the Viennese monarch to the Galician rabble of II and III 1846. While condemning the actions of the "enemies of all righteous order," he expresses gratitude to the majority of Galicians for showing "goodwill and unwavering loyalty to their Monarch." He writes: "When [...] the conspiracy broke out in a blind frenzy, and in a memorable frenzy the bloody banner of demolition was raised - the criminal such enterprise by the constant persistence of you faithful everywhere against it was nullified." Folding marks, good condition.
