Horticultural Works C. Ulrich - is a legendary horticultural company founded by the Ulrich family in Warsaw in 1805, which significantly influenced the development of horticulture and landscape architecture in Poland. Initially, the company specialized in growing vegetables, and later expanded its operations to include the production of ornamental plants, seedlings and running nurseries for fruit trees and decorative plants. The Ulrich plant was famous for its extensive plant collection and impressive greenhouses, and its products adorned the Royal Baths and Saxon Garden, among others. The plants' operations lasted until 1944, when they were destroyed by the war effort. The land owned by the company was nationalized in 1945, and the company itself was nationalized in 1958.
